Following the Mastering Amiga series and Amiga Insider Guide series of books, I decided to launch a more ‘middle-of-the-road’ series of books catering for the Amiga and specifically targeted at AmigaDOS 3.x users. Each book was to be all encompassing and be a complete tutorial and reference for the subject matter. The series of books was called Total Amiga and Carolyn Knight did an eye catching design both internally and on the covers.
The books were written during the time Bruce Smith Books were based in Bricket Wood in Hertfordshire and with the aid of Mark Webb who edited the titles. A handful of titles were produced and the biggest audience was probably Amiga 500, 600 and 1200 users.
When Commodore went into administration in 1994 it marked the end of the production of the Amiga and without product the market sadly faded away, as did the need for documented support for the computer.
